We will be meeting at the corner of 23rd and O Street at 10:00 am, Wednesday November 11th, 2009. The parade will begin at 10:00am. We are entry #106 and will begin marching when we are told it's our turn.
We would like to thank Silver Winders and family for the use of her pink tractor and wagon that has been donated for our float. We will be providing American Flags for the children to wave. You can also decorate you own wagon or stroller to be used during the parade.
Remember to wear your Linda Larma and Daughters Academe of Dance t-shirts.
The parade route ends at 19th and L Street. Any children walking with out a parent (ages 5 and up only) will meet their parents at the corner of 20th and M Street. Children who will be marching without a parent must sign in with the designated dance teacher.
With this letter is a copy of the parade route as well as the letter we recieved from the Verterans parade coordinator.
Dancingly,
Miss Linda
You are invited to salute our Veterans by joining Linda Larma and Daughters Academe of Dance and the Gaslight Melodrama marching in the Bakersfield Veteran's Day Parade on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 at 10:00 am. The theme of this year's parade is "90 Year's Honoring Our Veteran's". The parade starts at 21st and L Street and disbands past the corner of 20th and M Street.
In order to participate, your child will need to purchase a studio tee shirt so that we will all look uniformed. The dance studio will supply the American Flags for the kids to wave. Since we have so many little dancers, we thought it would be fun to have a wagon or stroller decorating contest. The winner will get a family four pack the the Melodrama's Christmas show. ($88.00 value)
The children's tee shirts are pink with black lettering. Adult tee's are black with pink lettering.
If you would like to particiapte, please fill out the form below and return it with your check of $16.00 for the tee shirt. Please turn in BEFORE October 28th
